A rainy, cold, and windy night, became an unforgetable memory in my life. I’m very afraid to talk about that day, but I have to share this story with you. That night, I was very tired after finishing my work, and driving my car to go back home. The road that I was driving in was very empty, no human could be seen walking by or being there, and it was so dark, no lights at all. It was the silence that was inviding my car as I was alone, and I could only hear the sound of the rain drops falling on the windows of my car, and the « Vrooom » sound of my vehicle. I started to feel more and more cold while driving. My house was not that close, and the only desire I had is to enter my bedroom, throw myslef on the bed, and fall asleep. But suddenly, all this desire inside my mind was interrupted, when a blurry silhouette crossed the road in front of my car, and I had to stop the vehicle immediately to avoid hitting that thing. The figure came slowly closer tor the right side window, and knocked the glass three times « knock knock knock ». The face of that person was still blurry through the wet glass of the window. I was very scared, and I felt that my heart was about to stop beating as soon as I had to open the window. After opening the window, I was able to see more clearly a black veil covering a head of an old lady who had too many wrinkles on the face, and a quite strange red sort of eyes color. I know that this redish eye color seemed to be very strange on an old lady, but I had to assume that those were only lenses. I said « Hello » and I asked her if she needed any help and if she was lost. The woman answered that she was carying heavy bags, and that she needed help. I immediately let her in, gave her my jacket to warm herself, and asked her house adress. When we arrived at a big, 2 flours house, I told her that she could keep the jacket with her beacuse it was very cold outside. The old lady said that her name was « Marg » before getting off the car. She said that the next morning I could come back to her house to take back my jacket, and she added, that in case I had lost the exact location of her house, I could ask about the house of the lady named « Marg » to any of the neighborhoods, and they wouldl answer me. After thanking me and getting outside the car, I had a look on the door of her house where her full name was written: « Margaret Brown ». After arriving at my house and parking my car, I had discovered traces of blood on the door’s handle, at the place where the lady was sitting. I was frightened and horrified. Why would this woman have her hand bleeding ?! .. Then next morning, I went to the same house. i wanted to ask this woman about the blood coming out of her hand, and if she was fine. I knocked the door that had her name on it. « Knock knock knock » . I waited, waited for a while, but no one was there. I could hear nothing from inside the house. I decided to curiously ask her neighboor about her and i told you that I came to take back my jacket. Thats when I was thraumatized to hear his answer. He said that all this is impossible. There is nobody living inside this house because the old lady who owned this house, died 20 years ago from a car accident. I was very thraumatized at this moment, and I started crying. The man indicated to me the location of the old lady’s grave. My feet were so shaky that I was barely able to stand on them. I entered the indicated cemetry, and I found « Margaret Brown »’ s grave. But would you believe me if I tell you that my jacket was right there on her grave?

Thanks for sharing your story! I'd say you were very kind in helping the woman and I think she was very grateful as well. Although if it was me I'd feel the same way as you did as it is terrifying.
